Shibnath Saha Teachers Training College has been working since 2014 with a clear focus on teacher education. The institution is guided by the idea that a college should be a place of learning, standards, knowledge, training, thought, and action.

History
A Legacy of Service, Unity, and Education
Shibnath Saha was born in 1905 in Burdwan District, now Purba Bardhaman. Though he came from an aristocratic family, he lived with humility and placed public welfare above personal comfort.
As President of the Bogpur Union Board from 1948 to 1960, he worked for education and community development. He helped establish Sahapur Primary School, donated property for public purposes, and encouraged harmony across communities.
His descendants continued that educational mission by founding Shibnath Saha Teachers Training College. The college remembers him as a symbol of service, secular values, and the belief that education can uplift society.

To provide quality teacher education that strengthens professional competence, subject teaching skills, institutional understanding, evaluation techniques, project work, and action research.
